NJ - Effective August 19, 2024, New Jersey updated requirements for a hearing from the Department after a licensee has been suspended or canceled within twenty calendar days for residents and nonresidents.
Effective date to be determined, Maine will allow Business Entities to process contact change requests electronically. Additionally, existing individual Contact Change Request processing rules will be updated.
Update: Maine has temporarily delayed these updates. Additionally, new requirements have been added to exclude specific license types from submitting contact updates electronically. Effective August 30, 2024, Illinois will implement a new transaction type to process Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP).
Effective August 30, 2024, New Mexico will issue temporary insurance producer licenses through NIPR. This offering is to circumvent New Mexico’s “blackout” period while they change Insurance Examination Vendors. Please see the following attachment for more details.
Effective August 28, 2024, Missouri passed a bill involving a regulated entity will not have less than 30 calendar days to submit any record or material requested by the Department. Please see the attachment for more information.
Effective August 29, 2024, Maine updated the state-specific course approval form. This form is for Maine resident CE providers and providers who are requesting Maine as the courses' home state. Please see attached for more information.
Effective October 11, 2024, Connecticut will allow residents to change the state code of the Residence, Mailing and Business address electronically.
Posted August 26, 2024, Utah announced due to the number of questions the state receives regarding title licensees, the Department is asking you to please submit all questions to the following email address: title@utah.gov At the next monthly meeting, all questions will be answered during the meeting. The Department will send the response to the questioner, and keep a record of all questions and responses via the following website. https://insurance.utah.gov/licensees/title/tec/

Effective September 13, 2024, Colorado will implement new validations for Texas residents applying for a nonresident Title license in Colorado. Each state maps a line of authority to another state, the license offered by Texas is not reciprocal for a Title authority in Colorado.
Effective November 1, 2024, Oklahoma is updating the reporting dates for an address violation. Currently if failing to report a change of contact information within thirty (30) days, you will be subject to an address violation fee. With the new amendment, that date is being updated to be within twenty (20) days of the change. Please see the attachment for more infomation.
