Effective July 1, 2025, Idaho residents and nonresidents for viatical settlements/life settlements have had the following requirements removed:
- Providers must file an annual statement with the Director by March 1
- A life insurance producer license is required to act as a life  settlement provider or broker.
- Within 10 days of acting as a life settlement provider or broker, a  person must:
- Notify the Director that he or she is acting as a life settlement  provider or broker, including an acknowledgement that the  person will comply with the requirements set out for life  settlement transactions;
- Pay all applicable fees.
