Effective July 16, 2025, South Dakota will convert to State-Based Systems (SBS). All electronic processing will be turned off starting July 10, 2025, 4:00 PM CST.

Processing applications is expected to resume on July 16, 2025, 9:00 AM CST. Any transaction submitted during this timeframe will be declined.

- License Numbers for Individuals and Business Entities will be updated to reflect the National Producer Number (NPN)
- Company license numbers will be changing as part of the data migration. License numbers can be looked up and verified here after the conversion is complete: https://sbs.naic.org/solar-external-lookup/
