California Department of Insurance Updates Affidavit Requirements for Property and Casualty Surplus Lines License and Premium Tax
On January 23, 2024, California updated Surplus Lines General Provisions for Affidavit Requirements, particularly related to a new and simplified SL-2 Form released earlier in January of 2024.
The SL-2 Form can also be used for transactions prior to 1/1/2024. Numerous changes to Export List and Export List Codes were made to the following:
- Accident / Liability - Bridge Plan
- Commercial Property
- Excess Liability
- Surety, Bonds and Fidelity
- Inland Marine - Drone Physical Damage or Loss
- Liability
- Malpractice
