Texas has proposed several amendments and repeals to the Texas Administrative Code’s Licensing and Regulation of Insurance Professionals Chapter
The list includes removing the following:
- Subagent designation
- Insurance service representative licenses
- References to life and health insurance counselor
- Affidavit requirement for nonresident public insurance adjusters.
- Requirement to report and register each branch location.
The list also includes amending the following:
- Registration for home office salaried employees to be discontinued
- Increasing ethics continuing education requirements.
- Expiration date changes for an individual license.
- Updating obsolete statutory references, obsolete references to the State Board of Insurance, and obsolete addresses.
