South Dakota Makes CE Requirement Changes
South Dakota announces CE change that impacts both Resident and Nonresident License holders. For producers that have a life insurance Line of Authority cannot sell annuities unless the required training courses are completed.
This training must cover:
1. How product specific annuity contract features affect the consumers
2. Cover the standard of conduct
Additionally, the producer that completes an approved annuity training course prior to 1/1/2023 must also complete an approved additional 1-time 1-credit training course, or the 4-credit training course within 6 months
Satisfaction of the training requirements means the course has components similar to SD ST 58-33A-25.
