New Mexico Updates Resident and Nonresident Licensing and Continuing Education Requirements
On January 23, 2024, New Mexico updated Licensing and Continuing Education (CE) Requirements for producers selling excepted benefits.
Effective April 1, 2026, Producers who sell excepted benefit plans are required to maintain their license according to New Mexico insurance code. Continuing Education requirements consist of 2 hours of specialized training for producers transacting excepted benefits and carriers who sell excepted benefits plans, complying with New Mexico code.
