Producer applicants are required to submit a $10,000.00 bond in favor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico. A copy can be submitted after application is completed to cumplimiento@ocs.pr.gov in order to process the license but original bond is required for it to become valid. Bond must be notarized. If notary is outside of Puerto Rico, a copy of the Notary's certificate from the Secretary of State must be provided with bond. DRLP required for business entities. If non resident, the individual must hold an equal license in their resident state. They also cannot hold any other license type outside of independent adjuster.

Emergency adjuster details

LOAs for the Emergency Independent Adjuster License: Automobile & Accidents, Marine, Transportation, Fire and Allied Lines. DRLP required for business entities. A $10,000 surety bond is required. Licensing fee (emergency public and independent adjusters): $250 This license will remain active for 6 months and is non renewable.
