Texas DOI Potential Amendments and Repeals
Texas has proposed several amendments and repeals to the Texas Administrative Code’s Licensing and Regulation of Insurance Professionals Chapter
The list includes removing the following: - Subagent designation - Insurance service representative licenses - References to life and health insurance counselor - Affidavit requirement for nonresident public insurance adjusters. - Requirement to report and register each branch location. The list also includes amending the following: - Registration for home office salaried employees to be discontinued - Increasing ethics continuing education requirements. - Expiration date changes for an individual license. - Updating obsolete statutory references, obsolete references to the State Board of Insurance, and obsolete addresses.
