Effective February 20, 2025, Missouri will start displaying the below license classes and lines of authority on the Producer Database. Some of these will be individual, business, or displayed under both entity types.
Effective March 14, 2025, Missouri will process new license classes to be applied electronically for individuals and business entities via the following applications: - Resident Licensing - Non-Resident Licensing - Resident Licensing Renewal - Non-Resident Renewal

Posted January 30, 2025, Maryland posted an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) answering questions the Insurance Administration received from an earlier bulletin (17-10). The FAQ bulletin addresses: - Payment of premiums by credit card is based on laws prohibiting unfair discrimination in the terms or conditions of insurance for insureds - Insurers may not accept a premium or charge greater or less than the applicable classification and rates filed with the Commissioner or specified by the policy - If an entity or person accepts premium payment by credit card, the service must be made available to all existing and prospective insureds Please see the attachment for more information.
Effective January 31, 2025, Washington will Implement new transaction types to process Name Change (Demographics) updates.
Posted January 30, 2025, New York removed one company from the Excess & Surplus lines (E&S) insurers list and added four new companies. This list is maintained by the Excess Line Association of New York (ELANY). Please see the attachment for more information.
Effective October 17, 2025, Michigan added a condition defining when an individual resident or nonresident producer license is not required. A person who sells travel or auto-related insurance connected with and incidental to any of the following: - A motor vehicle rental agreement not exceeding 90 days; or - The sharing of a motor vehicle under a car-sharing agreement, as defined in the Peer-to-Peer Car Sharing Program Act
Effective March 14, 2025, District of Columbia will be updating the renewal period for all license classes from 60 days before the license expiration date, to 90 days before the license expiration date.
Effective January 1, 2025, Pennsylvania adjusts the minimum qualifying amounts for an Exempt Commercial Purchaser effective January 1, 2025. Please see the attachment for more information.
Posted January 22, 2025, New York (Excess Line Association of New York (ELANY), sent a reminder about the need to file a 2024 premium tax statement electronically on or before March 17, 2025. All licensed excess line brokers must file a premium tax statement even if no business was placed under that license.
