Effective August 1, 2025, Florida will load terminated appointment records to the Producer Database. The initial release will load up to seven years of historical terminated appointment data into the Producer Database. Termination records older than seven years ago will not be displayed.
Effective June 1, 2025, Arkansas company appointment renewal invoices will be available for payment from June 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025. The termination deadline is May 24, 2025. The invoice fees are based on the residency of the appointee. For the license classes: Insurance Producer, Exchange Agency, Exchange Producer, Purchasing Group Broker, Risk Retention Agency, Risk Retention Agent, Title Agency, Title Agent - Resident: $20 - Nonresident: $60
Posted May 30, 2025, South Dakota will be transitioning to State-Based Systems (SBS). During this time, Pearson Vue will not be offering in-person or online testing for South Dakota from July 10 through July 15. Please see the attachment for more information.
Posted May 30, 2025, Georgia made additional rule changes for CE courses and providers from the March 25, 2025, updates. These changes revolve around: - Reduction of hours needed - Where to submit proof of approved courses (before or after March 25, 2025) - Changing the definition of online courses - Retention of documents and historical time frame - Limitation on how many hours of class attendance and self-study/online can be offered

Effective May 30, 2025, Texas will update the company license class for Health Maintenance Organization for display on the Producer Database. The lines of business offered for this company license class are as follows: - Health Maintenance Organization Basic - Health Maintenance Organization Single Service - Health Maintenance Organization Limited
Effective June 13, 2025, Indiana will update Minnesota's renewal and reinstatement retaliatory fees. The new fee structure will be a $40 base license fee and $50 per line of authority.
Effective October 1, 2025, Maryland added additional training requirements for residents and nonresidents for limited lines insurance producers holding credit. - Must complete a Commissioner-approved program of instruction that is: - Provided by an insurer that sells, solicits, or negotiates limited line credit insurance - Designed to provide a comprehensive and accurate explanation of the product - Is not subject to examination requirements. Posted May 23, 2025, Louisiana provided information regarding their requirements for Appraisers and Umpires. Louisiana has required appraiser registrations since 2012 and started issuing umpire registrations beginning January 1, 2025.
If the insured and the insurance company cannot agree on the actual cash value or amount of loss, either party can request an appraisal. Each side selects a competent, impartial appraiser within 20 days, and the two appraisers choose an impartial umpire. If they can't agree on an umpire within 15 days, a judge will appoint one. The appraisers assess the loss and, if they disagree, submit only their differences to the umpire. A decision agreed to by any two of the three (appraisers or umpire) determines the final value. Each party pays their own appraiser, and both share the cost of the umpire and appraisal equally. The state does not register appraisers or umpires for other purposes.

June 18, 2025 – Update – New York Business Entity initial licensing applications will be turned back on for processing electronically, effective July 1, 2025.
Effective May 23, 2025, New York will temporarily suspend initial business entity licensing transactions electronically. During this period, any submissions will be declined.
