Effective January 1, 2027, New Jersey passed the "Pet Insurance Ac" to promote the public welfare by creating a comprehensive legal framework within which pet insurance may be sold in the state of New Jersey.

The requirements of this act apply to all pet insurance policies that are issued to any resident of New Jersey.
