Effective March 14, 2025, Illinois will be updating rules for applicants changing residency.
- The applicant is exempt from the license exam if applying within 90 days of the cancellation of their former resident state's license
- If the applicant holds an active nonresident IL license while applying for a resident IL license, the state will review
