Kansas License Classes Fee Reduction
Effective January 1, 2026, Kansas is reducing fees for several license classes.
Business Licenses
For resident, nonresident, and nonresident renewal applications, the following business license classes will decrease from $50 to $40:
- Credit
- Car Rental
- Portable Electronics
Individual and Business (Resident) Applications
- Individual applications and resident business applications will decrease from $15 to $10.
- Nonresident applications will decrease from $50 to $40.
Individual Nonresident New/Reinstatement
- New or reinstatement nonresident individual licenses will decrease from $150 to $140.
Business License Without a Home State (Portable Electronics)
- Fees will decrease from $15 to $10.
