New Jersey Updates Requirements For A Hearing For Resident and Nonresident Licensees
NJ - Effective August 19, 2024, New Jersey updated requirements for a hearing from the Department after a licensee has been suspended or canceled within twenty calendar days for residents and nonresidents.
- _A written request for a hearing may be:_
- _Faxed to the Department at (609)292-5337; or_
- _Mailed to: Chief of Investigations New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance P.O. Box 329 Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0329_
- _The request must include:_
- _The licensee's name, address, and daytime telephone _number;
- _A copy of the notice;_
- _A statement requesting a hearing;_
- _Specific admission, denial, or explanation of each fact alleged in the notice, or a statement that the person is without knowledge of those facts;_
- _A short statement of the licensee's defense._
