Louisiana Changes to Continued Education Requirements
Effective June 3, 2022, the prelicense education requirements for producer or consultant license applicants for lines of Life, Accident & Health or Sickness, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines, and Title are no longer required.
Applicants for a bail bond producer license are required to complete 8 hours of instruction prior to the completion of the bail bond apprenticeship program.
Lastly, the Louisiana Department of Insurance no longer has the authority to review and approve prelicense education courses which includes the 8 hours of instruction required for bail applicants.
