Texas Department of Insurance Makes Changes for Residents and Nonresidents Related to Subagents and License Continuation
Texas Department of Insurance made the following changes effective December 5, 2023 for residents and Nonresidents.
**Nonresidents Changes:**
**Individual Nonresident - Assumed Name**
- Fee information replaced indicating requirement for agent to register assumed name using instructions from the Texas Insurance Department Website.
**Discount Medical Plan Organizations**
- General Requirements section - The list of marketers must be submitted using instructions provided on the Department's website.
- Clarified that the first step to renew is to submit the renewal fee and application. Annual renewal is still required
**Resident Changes:**
**Examination**
- Clarified that a successful examination score report must be received within the 12 month period before the completed application is received by the Texas Department of Insurance.
