August 1, 2025, Florida’s Surplus Lines Service Office (FSLSO) issued a notice regarding the following surplus lines insurers being out of compliance. - MARKEL INSURANCE S.E. (NAIC # AA1340044) - MARKEL INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED (NAIC # AA1121425) FSLSO will be removing these carriers from its filing platform on August 15, 2025, if the filing requirement is not met. Posted July 24, 2025, South Dakota is seeking public comments on repealing the maximum limit on the number of continuing education credits an insurance producer can receive during a two-year period from courses sponsored by an insurance company. The reason for repealing this section is to modernize South Dakota’s rules with current industry practices and remove barriers for insurance producers. Effective August 15, 2025, Oregon will be offering a Public Adjuster license class. Oregon will also allow updating the Designated Responsible License Producer electronically and removing background questions required for licensing.
Effective August 15**, **2025**,** Idaho will update its renewal period for Third Party Administrators (TPA) to 60 days before the license expiration date.
Effective August 15, 2025, Arizona's Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI) will start displaying the following new license status reasons on why a license is inactive: - Inactive - DIFI - Staff Inactive – Relocation
Effective September 1, 2025, Arizona will be transitioning to PSI Services LLC (PSI) as the new vendor for administering pre-licensing examinations and Continuing Education (CE) for insurance professionals in Arizona. Please see the attachment for more information.
