Vermont Revisits Travel Requirements
Limited lines refers to a licensed MGA or TPA, a licensed producer (including limited lines producer), and a travel administrator. This announcement then further defines travel admins and travels insurance.
A person cannot act as a travel insurance producer or travel retailer unless they meet requirements and our properly licensed. A person licensed with a major line of authority is able to sell, solicit, and negotiate travel insurance. A property and casualty producer does not need to be appointed by an insurer to be able to sell, solicit, and negotiate travel.
