U.S. Virgin Islands Updates to Individual Producer and Adjuster Expiration Dates and Renewal Periods

Effective immediately, U.S. Virgin Islands is moving to biennial birth month renewals. While the current expiration date is 12/31, the expiration date will change to the end of birth month once the renewal is processed

Individual Producers and Adjusters will no longer renew on December 31 each year. Licenses will now expire every two years, on the last day of the licensee’s birth month in the second year following the issuance or renewal of the license.

Renewal Period Changes:

**Individuals:** The renewal period will be 90 days, with licenses expiring on the last day of the individual’s birth month. A 15-day grace period will follow the expiration date, during which late fees will not apply. From day 16 through one year past expiration, the license will be eligible for late renewal, and the fees will be doubled.

**Business Entities:** There are no changes to the current renewal period or late renewal process.
