Effective September 30, 2024, South Carolina’s Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency due to Hurricane Helene. For the next 120 days, nonresident adjusters or motor vehicle physical damage appraisers will be permitted to enter the state to handle adjustments without being required to be licensed in South Carolina. Update: Effective January 14th, 2025, South Carolina has extended the state of emergency bulletin by an additional 90 days (April 25, 2025).
