Effective April 12, 2024, Georgia will no longer allow applicants with the status of Suspended for Education to reinstate through NIPR. The applications affected by this change will be Resident Licensing and Resident Licensing Renewals.
Effective April 12, 2024, Mississippi will update their Appointment and Termination business rules to allow backdating of the effective date up to 15 days for Appointments and 30 days for Terminations. Previously, the effective date was the date the transaction was processed. The backdating rules will be enforced on Appointment and Termination Transactions.
NASAA’s IAR CE Committee has released the 2024 IAR CE Handbook. The handbook updates are intended to streamline navigation and do not consist of substantial material changes. Additionally, the updates regarding live events were added to the handbook and mirror the notification providers received in 2023.
Alabama has released a Predetermination form for prospective Producers and Adjusters looking to be licensed in Alabama. This form would allow those who may have some sort of legal issue to submit that information before applying to help determine the “likeliness” of licensure. The online form can be found on www.aldoi.gov under Producer/Agents.

On March 5, 2024, Arkansas issued a bulletin identifying dates related to 2024 company appointment renewals for insurance producers. See attachment.
On March 1, 2024, Utah issued a bulletin regarding the application of title insurance laws to affiliated title insurance businesses. See attachment.
Effective April 1, 2024, New Jersey company appointment renewal invoices will be available for payment through June 5, 2024.
Effective April 1, 2024, Guam will Implement new transaction types to process designated responsible licensed producer (DRLP) and primary name change updates.
