Massachusetts had previously delayed the opening of the company appointment renewals. it is now Open.

Effective August 3, 2022, Rhode Island updated licensing rules for resident and nonresident self-service storage agents.

Maryland has revised the Continuing Education to 13 Hours for a title insurance producer license. Maryland also revised the the Continuing Education hours for producers with Property or Casualty licenses with Life or Health.

Louisiana now requires individual title insurance producers be a resident of Louisiana or be employed full time by an agency in Louisiana.

Idaho will be converting to the SBS in September. Beginning on September 8th at 6PM Central the Gateway will shut down until September14th at 9AM Central.

Effective Immediately, Nebraska eliminates the proctor requirements for online continuing education.

This clarification is related to confusion surrounding PA Insurance Law 310.74 that outlines that a "licensee may change a fee in addition to a commission to a person for the sale, solicitation, or negotiation of a contract of insurance for commercial business." It also notes that this fee must be disclosed in writing in advance. This clarification concludes that additional fees charged on a non-commercial surplus lines policy is a violation of the law noted here if the surplus lines producer also receives commissions from the insurer.

Language surrounding Missouri Travel Licensing has been updated. Effective August 11, 2022, any insurance producer license with a major line, licensed MGA, or TPA is eligible for a Travel line of authority.

New Mexico releases a bulletin outlining when Designated Home State licenses are not accepted in initial licensing and renewals.

Effective on August 12, 2022, Georgia will add the _Agent - Georgia Access_ LOA for R, NR, RLR, and NRLR. A new background question will be added for R and NR applications.
