Arizona does not issue Emergency Adjuster Licenses, but does allow Adjusters who hold adjuster licenses in their home state to adjust in Arizona in the event of an emergency. Company adjusters or Independent adjusters may adjust catastrophe claims without an Arizona insurance adjuster license. Public Adjusters cannot.

Those who are exclusively licensed as adjusters, or exclusively licensed as bail bonds agents. LOAs that have been active for less than a year when the existing license renews. Those who have been continually licensed in Arizona since Jan. 1, 1995, and haven't been licensed as nonresidents of other states, and haven't been found to be in violation of Arizona CE law.
A license can be reinstated without having to retake pre licensing courses or taking a written exam if the required CE is completed and double the renewal fee is paid within the year. You will also need to complete the reissue process through NIPR.

Regulatory Updates
Arizona is Removing Fingerprint Fee for Adjusters
Effective September 15, 2023, non-resident individuals applying for Adjuster license class 5 (Adjuster), line of authority 889(Adjuster) will no longer be required to pay the fingerprint fee.

Effective 9/24/2022, AZ will waive the initial license fee for an individual whose family income does not exceed 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, active-duty military member's spouse, or for an honorably discharged veteran discharged no more than 2 years before the application.
