Effective September 12, 2025, North Dakota will update its existing Lines of Authority to align more closely with national standards. The state is also implementing additional validation rules for Designated Responsible Producers (DRPs) listed on electronically submitted applications.
Update August 14, 2025, Markel International Insurance Company Limited (NAIC # AA1121425) is now in compliance and will remain active in SLIP+. Update August 13, 2025, Markel Insurance S.E. (NAIC # AA1340044) is now in compliance and will remain active in SLIP+. August 1, 2025, Florida’s Surplus Lines Service Office (FSLSO) issued a notice regarding the following surplus lines insurers being out of compliance. - Markel Insurance S.E. (NAIC # AA1340044) - Markel International Insurance Company Limited (NAIC # AA1121425) FSLSO will be removing these carriers from its filing platform on August 15, 2025, if the filing requirement is not met.
