Colorado Updates Allowed Business Types Processed Electronically
Effective March 12, 2026, Colorado will no longer offer the firm type "Sole Proprietor" as an option for Business Entities during electronic license applications. Colorado will only allow the following business types to be processed electronically:
- Corporation
- Partnership
- Limited Liability Company (LLC)
- Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
